Patient Conditions

Kingsway Compounding accommodates all patient types and their related conditions. Patients conditions are classified by the Australian Government’s Institute of Health and Wellbeing. Conditions are grouped and specifically defined by the Australian Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (AR-DRGs).

Kingsway work closely with a wide range of health practitioners and believe that an integrative approach to health ultimately gives individuals the chance to achieve best possible health outcomes.

The treatment of conditions is the ultimate decision of an individual based on the recommendations of their health practitioner. This could entail making changes based on nutrition and/or taking prescription medicines.

At Kingsway Compounding we source and create compounds to improve nutrition (by compounding high quality vitamins and supplements) and compound prescription medicines either without ingredients that cause or clients adverse effects (such as gluten) or that may no longer be mass produced. Below we look at the major areas where conditions can be present and may require treatment.

What is the Australian Refined Diagnosis Related Groups?

“This is an Australian admitted patient classification system, which provides a clinically meaningful way of relating the number and type of patients treated in a hospital to the resources required by the hospital. Each AR-DRG represents a class of patients with similar clinical conditions requiring similar hospital services. The classification categorises acute admitted patient episodes of care into groups with similar conditions and similar usage of hospital resources, using information in the hospital morbidity record such as the diagnoses, procedures and demographic characteristics of the patient.”
