Amino acid testing
Over the years we have helped many patients regain their health via supplementation of an individualised amino acid formula. These customised amino acid blends are formulated for a patient based on their results from an Amino Acid Analysis.
Amino Acid Analysis & Supplementation
Due to the nature of our work, at Kingsway Compounding we are very lucky to have constant exposure to most of the latest investigatory tests (including Amino Acid testing), along with the subsequent treatment options available to support these results.
The strong relationships that we have with our practitioners also enables us to be kept up to date with how patients are responding to these recommended treatments.

As a health care practitioner, you will know that amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and play both an extensive and vital role in our body. A dysfunction in protein metabolism can have a detrimental effect on a person’s health and wellbeing.
Errors in protein metabolism may be due to a genetic disorder or the result of poor dietary and/or lifestyle choices. Given the considerable role that proteins play in the body, it is no surprise an error in their metabolism can present quite differently from patient to patient.
Some of the more common signs and symptoms noted by practitioners are:
- Mood, memory and behavioural disorders
- Weight management issues
- Lowered immune function
Other situations which could initiate an amino acid analysis include: reproductive issues, an inability to follow a healthy diet (e.g. eating disorders, chronically ill, cancer patients), or those suffering from proteinuria. The test may also be used to optimise a patient’s sports fitness or to simply gauge general health.
Conducting the Analysis - NutriPATH
The Amino Acid Analysis is a non-invasive test that a patient can carry out in the comfort of their own home. Once a practitioner requests a testing kit, it can be delivered directly to the patient’s door. The kits should contain clear instructions and the appropriate “return-to-sender” packaging. We strongly recommend practitioners use reputable pathology testing lab, such as NutriPATH, to ensure the patient has a professional experience and the results are accurate.
NutriPATH will also recommend an individualised formula for the patient based on their test results. These customised formulas can be easily compounded into a powder (or capsule) which the patient usually takes twice a day.
